Nicole Giroux

Nicole Giroux is a counselor and therapist specializing in psychological support and trauma healing. Originally from Switzerland, she brings decades of professional and life experience to her work accompanying individuals and families through challenging seasons of life.

Before becoming a counselor, Nicole worked for 30 years in a psychiatric institution as a nurse aide, where she gained extensive experience supporting people facing mental health challenges. She later spent 10 years teaching in secondary education, further strengthening her commitment to helping others develop resilience, understanding, and personal growth.

Motivated by a desire to walk alongside individuals facing emotional, relational, and spiritual struggles, Nicole pursued professional training in counseling. She completed her Counseling Training at Empreinte (2014–2017) and later specialized in Trauma Healing through the NICABM / Trauma Healing Institute (2019–2020).

Nicole’s counseling approach is shaped not only by her professional training but also by a rich personal background that includes multicultural experiences and her life as a mother, stepmother, and single parent. These experiences enable her to accompany people with empathy, practical tools, and hope for healing and restoration.

She works with individuals and couples dealing with trauma, life transitions, grief, divorce or separation, and spiritual questions. Nicole also supports seniors navigating loneliness, identity changes, and the search for meaning later in life. Her approach integrates psychological support with practical tools that help people rebuild confidence, resilience, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Nicole’s mission is to make counseling accessible to people from all backgrounds, including those with limited financial means, by offering flexible and income-based consultation options.

Through her work, Nicole Giroux remains deeply committed to accompanying individuals on their journey toward healing, personal growth, and restored hope
